Sturgeon Bay Pieces are Done

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

illusions_detailI have finished four pieces for the exhibition at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The exhibit opens in March and includes 15 contemporary printmakers from around the nation.

My pieces are hand-cut giclee prints and are 10″ x 20″. Each will be displayed with nails of varying distances from the wall and magnets holding the pieces to them so that they will appear to be floating in front of the wall. This will cause some fabulous shadows to appear on the wall from the paper where holes are cut out.

New Mezzotint Finished

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

RemembranceI am happy to report that I finally finished my new mezzotint, Remembrance. It was completed for a mezzotint portfolio that will be exhibited at the Southern Graphics Council Conference in Philadelphia in March.

This piece is a two-plate mezzotint and is 6 inches by 9 inches. The portfolio edition size is 26, but I will print a small edition for exhibiting and selling purposes!
